The Dunfield Lab is a microbial ecology lab based out of the University of Calgary, in Alberta, Canada. Our work revolves around diverse microbial habitats, including extreme environments such as hot springs, and anthropogenic environments such as end pit lakes.

The lab is led by Dr Peter Dunfield, a professor and Associate Head of Research at the University of Calgary. Within the lab, we have a diverse team of research associates, postdocs, PhD students, MSc students, and undergraduates.
